But, doing it with a warm, holistic approach is even better.”
She has undergone formalized training in dermoscopy, a non-invasive method of examining skin lesions which has been shown to improve diagnostic accuracy for skin cancer. Raquel also participates in a monthly scientific journal club where dermatologists and medical residents discuss the latest research in dermatology.
Raquel has co-authored several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has also been a speaker at national conventions held by the Centers for Disease Control and American Public Health Association.
In their free time, Raquel and her family enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, camping, and stand up paddle boarding. In her younger days, she enjoyed rappelling off cliffs, skydiving, white-water rafting, and cave-exploring (spelunking). Raquel and her family have fallen in love with Georgia, and they have planted strong roots in the community.
Raquel is available to help you with your dermatologic needs at the Roswell, GA and Woodstock, GA locations. She sees adult and pediatric patients.
